Latin - Genitive case of nouns - Qomplainerz - 04-02-2023

Used for nouns that are ‘of’ something else and to show possession (who something belongs to).

For example:

terra ecclesie – The land of the church.

‘of the church’ is in the genitive.

filie vidue – The widow’s daughters. (Literally: the daughters of the widow).

‘of the widow’ is in the genitive.
